The aim of our project is to enhance the students understanding of the effort that goes into food production, by working through growth stages and enabling them to try foods that they have grown themselves. The children will be involved in planting, caring for the produce, harvesting and preparing food to enjoy together. The expected (environmental and educational) outcomes of the project include: gaining a greater understanding of what it takes to grow food, and generate a greater responsibility and respect for that through minimising wastage.
