The aim of our project is to grow food crops that we can eat and enjoy at school in our lunchtime gardening club. The children will be involved in preparing the soil, planting the seedlings, watering and weeding the garden and picking the produce from the garden to eat. The expected (environmental and educational) outcomes of the project include growing awareness of plant life cycles and plant needs, learning about food production, links to healthy eating and living.
