Our Veggie Patch

The aim of our project is to create a garden around our honorary Aunty Irene Yarning Circle so students can learn about growing and producing plants. The children will be involved in designing garden beds, growing seedlings and established plants, caring for plants by preparing garden beds, watering, harvesting and eating produce. The expected (environmental and educational) outcomes of the project include hands on learning about local Gunggari bush tukka and its uses, life cycle of plants and where food comes from.
