The aim of our project is to teach students the importance, benefits and process of food composting and using the compost in the school garden. The children will be involved in researching the food composting process, processing food waste in compost tumblers and distributing compost in the school garden. The expected (environmental and educational) outcomes of the project include recycling classroom waste, enriching the soil in the school garden and gaining skills and knowledge in composting and gardening.
