Awabakal Oasis – An Indigenous Bush Tucker Garden

The aim of our project is to create a Bush Tucker Garden outside of our cultural room that includes native Awabakal plants and trees for all. The children will be involved in researching native plants to use in their design for the Bush Tucker Garden and then buying and planting of the resources. The expected (environmental and educational) outcomes of the project include engaging in biological sciences and learning about sustainability and understanding First Nations culture of living off the land through eating natural resources.
