The aim of our project is to design and build a herb and vegetable garden in our support unit for our multi-categorical disability students to engage in. The children will be involved in hands-on sowing the seeds, caring for the garden, harvesting produce, and creating shared meals to eat from the garden. The expected (environmental and educational) outcomes of the project include conversations between educators and students empowering them while they learn about plant lifecycles, food sources, healthy eating and sustainability practices.
