Plants Have Life Cycles Too

The aim of our project is to purchase a wicking bed that is accessible to students to see the growth of plants from seed to fruit. The children will be involved in planting seeds, caring for seedlings, weeding and maintaining the garden bed and eating the produce. The expected (environmental and educational) outcomes of the project include students learning about the plant life cycle, understanding how food is produced and monitoring growth of plants using mathematical skills.
