Maali Bush Tucker Garden

The aim of our project is to provide a hands-on learning experience for students to appreciate diversity and cultivate environmental responsibility outside the traditional classroom setting. The children will be involved in teamwork to plant, care for, cultivate, harvest, eat and use the Bush Tucker they grow, encouraging children’s agency hands-on learning. The expected (environmental and educational) outcomes of the project include fostering identity and wellbeing by connecting students to the natural world and the cultural heritage of the area.
