The aim of our project is introducing a combination of native stingless bees and native plants to the school rainforest area, in order to attract a variety of native birds and butterflies and creating a thriving environment to for them to live. The children will be involved in clearing existing debris from the area, planting the native species within the area, and ongoing observation directly linked to their science and biology (botany) curriculum. The expected (environmental and educational) outcomes of the project include: restoration of the rainforest area through the introduction of native plants and stingless bees.
