The aim of our project is to provide a biodiverse habitat for frogs, insects, birds and lizards. We will create a pond to encourage local frogs by selecting a suitable site in our newly constructed, natural playground. We will plant a native habitat to support local birds, insects, bees and lizards. The children will be involved in designing the outline of the space including garden beds and a frog pond. They will take part in the construction and planting of the native area. Through the project, the children will develop an understanding of the habitat of lizards, insects, birds and frogs. They will similarly develop an understanding of the natural world and respect for nature.
