The 4 R’s Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle

The aim of our project is to improve waste management at the centre through introducing the 4R’s and developing practices to improve the amount of waste from the centre that goes to landfill. Introducing an education program for children and Educators at the centre to help minimise waste by implementing the 4R’s program. The children will be involved in participating in an educational program to learn more about how to reduce waste both at the centre and then carry this through to their practices at home. To encourage children to start to think about what they could do to help towards future sustainability. The expected (environmental and educational) outcomes of the project include reducing the waste in our centre with the ripple effect out into our community. QKLG: Showing respect for the environment and explaining how and why everyone is responsible for the environment.
