The aim of our project is to create a low cost passive waste renewable project for the whole school community. The children will be involved in contributing to and observing an organic renewable waste system, harvesting compost for the garden and harvesting and selling leachate (worm wee) to fundraise for the school. The expected (environmental and educational) outcomes of the project include reduced environmental impacts, production of healthy plants and vegetables and opportunities for children to observe the decompostion process, measure the environmental impacts of composting.
