Our Schools a garden, Let’s grow it!

The aim of our project is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to grow their own fruit and vegetables, establishing lifelong skills of sustainability and self sufficiency. The children will be involved in developing the garden space, preparing the soil and planting seeds. the ongoing weeding and care that it takes to successfully grow their own vegetables, then preparing healthy meals that can replicate at home. The expected (environmental and educational) outcomes of the project include students learning about the factors required to successfully grow their own food, and how to prepare simple healthy meals, this will cater for all types of learning as students will be actively involved.
