Native garden around heritage listed cottage

The aim of our project is to create a native, bio-diverse, pollinator friendly garden adjacent to the newly renovated caretaker’s cottage that sits within school grounds. The children will be involved in selecting and planting out the species to be grown, as well as ongoing management of the area. The expected (environmental and educational) outcomes of the project include our students learning about habitats, biodiversity, native species and plant lifecycles. By creating and tending to the garden, our children will engage with and care for their local environment.
