The aim of our project is for our preschoolers to have a garden to plant and grow a variety of vegetables, fruits, and bush food. They will grow food to cook, eat and share with our community. The children will be involved in planning, planting and caring for the garden. They will take care of the soil and water the plants regularly. The children will collect the harvest and use some for cooking in our preschool kitchen. The children will help to share some food grown with our families and local community. The expected (environmental and educational) outcomes of the project include children participating in nature, learning to respect and care for the environment. Children to learn about sustainability by planting, growing, cooking and eating healthy food.
