Establishing Indigenous plants for our future

The aim of our project is to create multiple areas of Indigenous flowering and edible plants so that all children in our kindergarten can familiarise and learn the names of native plants and their use. The children will be involved in planting, caring for and tasting the various edible and flowering plants. The expected (environmental and educational) outcomes of the project include the addition of plant labels depicting the plant name and its use we expect our children will gain the ability to learn the names of Indigenous plants, their use and their importance to the natural environment in which we live.
