Lyons Earky Childhood School

The aim of our project is for students to participate in community composting. The children will be involved in collecting food scraps at the end of each food break and deposit into school compost bins. Each year taking turns to top bins up with straw and saw dust plus airrating bins. The expected (environmental and educational) outcomes of the project include reduce waste and land fill but also feed and fertilise our bush tucker community garden. Object of project is to support the children and community that every little step can make a big difference. That their actions are part of the solution to improving our environment.
