Chagun Nyeumba

The aim of our project is to create a form of sustainable food production, Chagun meaning Earth and Nyeumba meaning teacher in our local Yugambeh language. We are creating a space where the children will learn how to care for the earth from the earth. They will learn about the aboriginal culture through nature and be the main caretakers for this space, sharing the responsibility for the upkeep and sharing it with the community. Our goal is to create a space that the children want to spend time in and create skills and a passion that will follow them for the rest of their life.
