Bush Tucker, Native Garden and Yarning Circle

Nanango & District Kindergarten

The aim of our project is to enhance our current native habitat and outdoor learning environment. We have worked hard on establishing our native gardens in the front of our Kindergarten. The back garden needs a makeover of native trees and yarning circle. The children will be involved in planning, preparation, planting the gardens and learning about caring for native bees. We want to continued honouring First Nations People, nature play and sustainability programs at Kindy. We hope to enhance our current native gardens and bush tucker gardens as well as to encourage existing native beehives to expand. This will support the children, staff and families in their knowledge of caring for country and environment and loving our community Kindergarten gardens and native animals.
