Booligal School Native Garden

The aim of our project is to create a Native Garden so students can make a positive impact on the environment through awareness and education. The children will be involved in designing, planning, building, seed collection, seed propagation, sourcing plants native to the Booligal area, planting and caring for the garden. The expected (environmental and educational) outcomes of the project include connecting our students to nature and each other by bringing the environment into their everyday lives. Our aim is to return the landscape to its natural state by bringing native flora species back to the area and encouraging biodiversity through hands on learning.
