Becoming Responsible Gardeners

REED Early Education Cunderdin

The aim of our project is to provide the tools and resources to support the children ages 0-6 at our regional service to establish their own gardens, where they will learn about the growth cycle and responsibilities included. The children will be involved in all aspects of the garden development, preparing the area, setting up garden beds, planting seeds / trees and watering. The children at our service are from regional WA and have never had a garden, it is expected they will learn about the responsibilities included in growing a garden, the life cycle of plants, develop environmental understandings and learn about care and responsibility through hands on participation.
