We aim to reduce the amount of food waste within our school by collecting each grades food waste and setting up a compost area and a worm farm. Children will help setup the area (Enviro. Rangers) from each class and take on the responsibilities of emptying buckets 3 days a week. They will learn how to maintain compost area (methods- step by step process) with guidance and encourage to teach others about the benefits and getting others involved. We want to educate our children about organic waste and how worms help enhance the soil’s quality.
