Cycle of Plant Life – From Seed to Plant – Vegetable to Seed

The aim of this project is to build a big vegetable garden. We encourage the children to assist in preparing the soil, sowing seeds, maintaining and pulling out weeds and taking responsibility to recycle water from our meal times and our rainwater tank to water and care for the plants and vegetables. This project is essential for these young children as it provides them an opportunity to take responsibility for their environment by looking after the plants, learning the life cycle of a plant, and understanding where and how we get fruit and vegetables.
