Bush Tucker Garden

We are so pleased with the outcome of our Bush Tucker Garden. The educators and children worked collaboratively with the design, construction and care of the garden. Together we researched the plants we wanted to purchase to put in our garden. We acknowledge the Gubbi Gubbi people the traditional owners on the land in which we meet. We aimed to gain knowledge in planting a Bush Tucker Garden with plants we can eat, use and assist in our health. During the process, a member of our Community who was observing our progress donated a native bee hive to assist with the pollination of our new plants. This added to the learning, accomplishment and community feel everyone involved in the project experienced. The garden is flourishing, it is aesthetically pleasing and an educational asset to the centre.
