Bambara Plant

Our project is unfortunately incomplete due to COVID restrictions. Our plan was to have community involvement but parents have been prevented from being on site. As a result we have maintained the vegetable side of our application but we have not planted our bush tucker. This will occur in 2021. The sensory pathway is complete with coloured stones and the students are enjoying the area and are going into it every day before and after school as well as during breaks. Whilst we haven’t planted a herbaceous border as such we have a range of different plants for students to smell and experience, including broad beans that they pick and eat raw. Coming up for summer we will plant a range of other vegetables for students to pick in the new school year.
