Native Bird and Bee Habitat

Trinity Anglican School - White Rock Junior

Our project aimed to involve students and some key community groups to create a native garden. The students helped design and plant the area. The local council recommended the correct native plants for the area that would thrive and attract local native birds and bees. To help form the shape of the garden a local quarry donated large boulder type rocks and a local company designed a bench for children to sit on. Each plant in the garden has a significance for the local indigenous people in regards to food and medicine.
