Native Sensory Garden

Our goal was to increase the native habitats available for native pollinators and birds through the use of part of our playground area which was underutilised. We brought the community together to clear the area, select the most appropriate plants and plant the garden area. The community and the children at our kindergarten continue to work together to ensure that the garden area is maintained and looked after. This project was part of a renewal of our focus on sustainability. We see sustainability as not just about composting and reducing waste but also about ensuring that native animals have habitats by providing them with native plants for shelter and food.
